Our Pan programs are growing and making the Twin Cities a steel-pan destination. If you love seeing our Pan-handlers and Tin Cups bands perform at summer venues, you won't want to miss this Saturday's free concert at Como Lakeside Pavilion.

Mark your calendars for Saturday, August 5th at 6 p.m. - come out and celebrate steel drum music at the annual Day of Pan concert!

Day of Pan features Tin Cups and Pan-handlers, three student ensembles, and renowned pannist Gary Gibson. This family-friendly outdoor event is perfect for all ages. So grab your friends and loved ones, and join us for an unforgettable evening of music and fun.

Our headliner for this event is Gary Gibson, an internationally-renowned steelpan and steelband specialist from Seattle, Washington. With a diverse performance history that includes work in feature film soundtracks, jazz vibraphone, and, of course, steelpan, Gibson is sure to bring a unique sound to our event. Gibson's talent has been recognized with several awards and accolades, and his four critically acclaimed albums of original progressive music featuring the steelpan have delighted audiences all over the world.

In addition to Gibson's headlining performance, we've also got an amazing lineup of our own bands and performers of all ages. From 4th graders to seasoned veterans, our performers are sure to inspire and entertain you with their incredible talent and passion for music.

Don’t miss the sound of the islands drifting out over beautiful Como Lake on a gorgeous summer evening. Whether you're a longtime fan of steel-pan music or just looking for a fun summer evening out with the family, the Como Lake Pavilion Day of Pan program is not to be missed.
