Day of Pan Concert logistics!

Want to enjoy some great live music this weekend? Join us for one or both of our FREE steel-drum concerts this Saturday, August 9th at Anwatin Middle School! Here's everything you need to know in order to locate and enjoy these free community events.

Matinée "Informance" - doors open 2:00 p.m., show starts at 2:30 p.m.

• Park anywhere in the Anwatin Middle School parking lot and proceed to door #5. The main doors will be locked, so be sure to click the link above to see an overhead map and a photo of door #5.

• Learn about the history of the steel-pan instrument and hear from our guest artist Josanne Francis about her career journey as a Woman in Pan.

• Award-winning artist, composer and educator Josanne Francis will play steel-pan, backed-up by an amazing group of local musicians:

  • Jonathan Edington on guitar

  • Dr. Adrian Davis on keys

  • Anwatin's own Edward Barlow on sax

  • Abhinav Sharma on tabla

Evening Mass Steel-band Concert - doors open at 6:00 p.m., main act starts at 6:30 p.m.

• Park anywhere in the Anwatin Middle School parking lot, and proceed to door #5. The main doors will be locked, so be sure to click the link above to see an overhead map and a photo of door #5.

• Enjoy a hand-drumming ensemble from Women's Drum Center from 6:00 - 6:30 p.m. as guests arrive.

• Students from all three of our Pan Camp ensembles will play on stage with guest artists Josanne Francis, Pan-handlers & Tin Cups Steel Drum Bands, and much more!

• Come out and support our Pan Campers, our steel bands, and our free steel-pan programs!

• Great music, great people - all for FREE!
