About Day of Pan
Steel drums in Minnesota? You betcha! On August 8th, come get a taste of Trinidad & Tobago as over 100 steel drum performers across six different ensembles take the stage alongside special guest, Liam Teague, for two unforgettable concerts!
Chops’ Day of Pan kicks off at 2:30pm with a performance from world-renowned pannist, Liam Teague. Hailed as the "Paganini of the Steelpan," Liam has spent his life showing the world the musical possibilities of the steelpan. A native of Trinidad & Tobago and Head of Steelpan Studies at Northern Illinois University, he's performed on stages around the globe. Don't miss this chance to hear one of the world's finest pannists!
Doors open for the evening at 5:30pm. Don’t be late or you’ll miss our incredible opening act, League Night Jazz! At 6:30 PM, the Chops Pan Camp Ensembles take the stage alongside Liam Teague to show off everything they learned throughout camp. Finally, the evening concludes with performances from three local steel drums bands: Panatics, Tin Cups, and Pan-Handlers.

Browse our silent auction and bid on a range of great finds, including a brand new steel drum from Kunkel Instruments. Every item at the auction was generously donated by community members and every dollar spent goes directly to help fund Pan Camp. A winning bid is a chance to take home something special and support Pan Camp at the same time.

Ever wanted to play a steel drum? Now's your chance! No experience necessary, just step right up and try out all the different kinds of steel pans. Our Pan Camp staff will be around to show you everything you need to know.
Tickets
One ticket for Chops’ Day of Pan is only $5! That includes both the afternoon and the evening concerts. When you purchase your ticket, you have the option to make an extra donation to Chops. If you feel that the value of two steel drum concerts is worth more than just $5, we hope you will consider making a donation to help us keep Pan Camp and Day of Pan going strong for many years to come.
