Steve joined Chops in 2003, marched tenors for six years, and was honored with both ‘Rookie of the Year’ and ‘Member of the Year’ awards during that time. A passionate performer, he’s amassed over 30 years of musical experience and, in 2017, joined Pan-handlers as a seconds player to continue living that passion.

 

Born and raised in Minnesota, Steve holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities and a J.D. from Mitchell Hamline. He is a licensed attorney and is also a Certified Information Systems Security Professional. At Albertsons, he serves as platform information security officer for the company’s supply chain and manufacturing business lines. Leading various teams through change, he modernizes both business and technology products by aligning diverse perspectives on complex regulatory/policy language and challenges the status quo where needed to deliver tangible results for the entire enterprise. 

 

Believing music and performance can be some of life’s purest and most transformative experiences, Steve wishes to create spaces that provide opportunities—for as many people as possible regardless of age, means, or background—to create unique, lasting memories. He enjoys spending time with his lovely bride and wonderful son, HIIT workouts, managing his cryptocurrency mining operation, baking gluten-free and gluten-laden goodies, playing chess, living a strenuous life, and spending time on anything related to Star Wars.
