SARAH REHMAN (she/her)

Member at Large, Board of Directors

Sarah Rehman is a Licensed Psychologist working in community mental health, supporting individuals navigating trauma, mental health challenges, substance use recovery, and justice-impacted backgrounds. Originally from Northeast Wisconsin, she earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and completed graduate training through Saint Mary's University of Minnesota. As a person in long-term recovery and a breast cancer survivor, she brings both professional expertise and lived experience to her work and believes deeply in the power of connection, resilience, and strengths-based approaches to growth and healing.

Music has been an important part of Sarah's life since childhood. She played percussion throughout her school years and later joined Chopstix Percussion as an adult, marching for three summers. Returning to drumming during a challenging chapter of life helped her reconnect with an important part of herself and the sense of community that music can provide. Sarah is also the proud mother of two sons whose lives have been enriched through music, including participation in Pan Camp and local bands. Music has remained a meaningful thread in their family's life, creating opportunities for connection, growth, and shared experiences.

As a member of the Chops Board of Directors, Sarah is committed to helping expand opportunities for people of all ages and backgrounds to experience the connection, confidence, and sense of belonging that music can provide. She brings professional expertise, lived experience, and a longstanding connection to the organization as a performer, parent, and participant. Sarah is honored to support Chops in strengthening its impact within the community and creating spaces where people feel welcomed, valued, and encouraged to grow.
