Nehemiah Garley

Nehemiah Garley is a community advocate, nonprofit founder, and small business owner dedicated to equity, public safety, and youth empowerment. He serves as Executive Director of Rise Beyond Hate, a Minnesota-based nonprofit focused on violence prevention, mentoring, and community healing.
 

Nehemiah also serves as a Brooklyn Park Human Rights Commissioner, where he works to advance policies that promote justice, equity, and inclusion for all residents. As a foster parent and mentor, he has dedicated his career to supporting families and reforming systems that impact vulnerable youth.
 

With a background in Business Administration and Homeland Security and Emergency Management, Nehemiah combines frontline experience with strategic insight to build safer, stronger communities. He is also a small business owner with a track record of creating jobs and investing in underserved neighborhoods.
 

As a CHOPS board member, Nehemiah brings grassroots leadership, cross-sector collaboration, and a deep commitment to community voice and impact.
