MATT HANKINS (he/him)

Matt has called Minneapolis home since 2020, having previously lived in Georgia and Connecticut. Music has played an important role throughout his life; he spent much of his youth in symphonic and marching bands and majored in music in college. Matt believes music can change lives and help young people develop the skills they need to succeed in all areas of life.
 

Matt has spent most of his career in retail, holding leadership positions with several major retailers. Today, he works with small business owners in the resale apparel industry, helping them improve operations, develop their people, and build strategies for sustainable growth.
 

Public service has always been important to Matt. During his time in Connecticut, he served on committees with Hartford Young Professionals and Entrepreneurs. He is excited to bring his experience and passion for music to the Chops board and to help expand access to music education throughout the city.
