Chops Inc is pleased to announce its new Interim Executive Director, Megan O’Leary.
Megan brings a proven track record of organizational development in both nonprofit and for-profit sectors. Her career journey has given her a broad range of expertise, from fundraising and marketing communications to operations and finance.
As Marketing Communications Manager at one of the largest community foundations in the nation, Megan developed extensive knowledge of best practices within the local nonprofit landscape. During her six-year tenure on the board of Hmong American Partnership, she led the organization through an executive leadership transition and was instrumental in the implementation of policies and procedures to streamline operations and enhance compliance with governance standards.
For the past 14 years, Megan has been Chief Operating and Finance Officer for a law firm she co-founded. The firm has provided affordable legal services to more than 2,000 clients to date.
Through her grassroots equity effort Circles of Support, Megan has worked for the past 20 years to economically empower disadvantaged families in her income-diverse neighborhood.
Megan was born and raised in St. Paul, Minnesota, and graduated summa cum laude from the University of Wisconsin – Madison with a B.A. in Zoology and Spanish. She currently lives in St. Paul with her husband, two children, a 95-pound mutt, an 8-pound tripod Pomeranian, and three backyard chickens. Megan enjoys playing guitar and singing with her son, accompanying her daughter’s trumpet pieces on piano, and being walked by her dogs.
