Summer Burgess joined the Chops Winterguard staff in 2021, and is returning for the 2022 season to teach equipment technique and assist with artistic direction.

Summer has marched Colorguard since 2012, and is currently marching in her fourth season with River City Rhythm Winterguard. A graduate of the University of Minnesota, Summer holds a Bachelor's of Science in Sustainable Systems Management. She is very fond of all animals big and small, especially her orange tabby cat, Chunk.
