With great sadness and sympathy we say goodbye to long time member Jeffrey Todd Mohr. Jeff was a founding member, board member, member of the Pan-handlers Steel Drum band as well as a driving force in countless other Chops activities.
While words and posts will never be enough to share what his life meant for us, we tried to spread some of the love he shared with us to the Minnesota performing arts community.
We did this by contributing to projects that are aligned with his life and that will honor his legacy. One of the donations below is actually the biggest donation we’ve ever made to an outside organization. This was done as a way to make more tangible our gratitude for all these years we served together.
The donations were made to these organizations:
Hopewell Music Cooperative: $30,000
Minneapolis School Drumline Collaborative: $5,000
Dance With Purpose: $5,000
Youth in Music: $1,000
$3,000 in scholarships and other donations to support other drum and bugle corps, and help for families in need in our community.
Our sincere condolences to all of those who were lucky enough to know Jeff. We will keep honoring his legacy by dedicating ourselves to the work of CHOPS even more. We are happy to bring his legacy with us in every decision we make, in every rehearsal, and show.
